Craig y Nos Country Park & Grounds
The castle retains 11 acres of its own land, while the Country Park extends to a further 40 acres of lakes and woodland, meadow and many scenic paths.
On a sunny day many brides and grooms venture down into the grounds to have their wedding photos taken by the boating lake, or on the wooden footbridge over the River Tawe, or on the white footbridge with its newly painted AP logo. Some will visit the Pavilion for photos, or discover other locations around Craig y Nos Country Park.
The Country Park and the Castle is popular with dog walkers and we have many guests staying on a B&B basis with their pets, to take advantage of the fabulous walks around the Country Park. Once they tire of the walks in the Park, there are a number of paths behind the Park which lead on to the Beacons Way.
Guests have commented there is no need for them to use their car while staying at the castle, as there are ample walks right on the doorstep.

Your Photos in the former Pleasure Gardens of Adelina Patti
In Patti's time the Country Park and grounds bloomed with all manner of flowers, vegetables and new trees and shrubs imported from all over Europe. I wonder if the climate was better in those days!
The lower gardens at Craig y Nos are listed, on account of the different trees in the grounds.
The Castle's land extends to the banks of the River Tawe, where you walk through gates at the bottom of the lower garden into Craig y Nos Country Park.
